The Reverend Leela Brown Waller, M.DIV
The Reverend Leela Brown Waller, who is a Servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ celebrates 22 years in ministry. Rev. Waller was called to Ministry by the spirit of God in the summer of 1993. She is an ordained Itinerant Elder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and as of May 2012 was appointed as Pastor of Bethel AME Church, Acworth Ga.
Rev. Waller has served in the ministry as Youth Pastor of St. Paul AME Church, Stone Mountain Ga. and Youth Pastor of Greater Mount Carmel AME Church Doraville Ga. Prior to being assigned to Bethel, Rev. Waller served 13 years at Turner Chapel AME Church, Marietta Ga. under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Rev. Kenneth Marcus. As a servant of our Lord and Savior, Rev. Waller a prayer warrior has been part of Turner Chapel’s Church at Study as a teacher, the Consultants Coordinator for the Service Ministry, worked with the Teen Dance Ministry, The New Member's Ministry Coordinator, and Women’s Ministry. In Rev. Waller’s last six month at Turner Chape, she had the awesome responsibility to serve as the Pastor of Worship. Rev. Waller has been active in the Atlanta North Georgia Conference of the AME Church, Women In Ministry, and served in the office of Worship Leader. Rev. Waller has a special love for worship and for helping people find their passion, purpose, and true destiny in the Kingdom of God. She is blessed with the gifts of preaching and teaching the Gospel. Her bold, yet simplistic sermons, challenges God’s Faithful to step out of their comfort zone and to do God’s bidding to those who are lost. Rev. Waller also has a strong love for the community. Rev. Waller graduated from Reinhardt College, with a BA degree in Communication and received a Masters of Divinity degree from Turner Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center, in Atlanta GA. As one of God’s anointed Ministers, Rev. Waller’s personal testimony is “I Love the Lord”, His praises will continually be on my lips! He is my source and my supply. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” and To God be the Glory! |
